Nine CEOs draft a dynamic mission

Today the managers of Festa and Marel met with the CEOs of the companies in Iceland that have committed to adapting their carbon footprint to the Paris Agreement by setting targets for a reduction in emissions according to the Science Based Targets initiative.

The aim of the meeting was to draft a dynamic project at the Festa level, in collaboration with Marel and the Icelandic government, which aims at the importance of leaders in this field, targeted education to Festa's member organizations and information regarding the success of the implementation of scientific goals and actions related to them. "The project has the potential to mark a turning point in influential actions in the field of climate in the Icelandic economy. The driving role of individual actors is crucial, especially when they have a great influence in the business world and step forward with boldness and power to drive business life along with them. This is a unique group of experts and CEOs, and I have high expectations for the project," said Hrund Gunnsteinsdóttir, Festa's managing director, following the meeting.
