Crucible Meeting – Biodiversity

Festa invites members to the Crucible Meeting on October 4th, where we will discuss the issues at the moment: Biodiversity.

At the meeting, we will present to you a new Roadmap that Festa has been working on in recent months, which is about the role of business when it comes to protecting biodiversity. A large and diverse group of experts from business and academia came to that work.


At the meeting, which is electronic and open to all Festa member associations, we will hear from experts who work on these issues in business and at the National Institute of Natural Sciences.


At the meeting we will discuss, among other things:

    Why biodiversity mattersHow Icelandic companies can participate in protecting biodiversityOperational measures related to biological diversityWhat were the priorities at COP 15, the United Nations conference related to biological diversityWhat are Iceland's plans in this areaInformation and new legislation of the European Union


The meeting will be chaired by Rakel Sævarsdóttir, who sits on Festa's board and has led this work on behalf of the company. After the presentations, there will be a good opportunity to ask questions and participate in discussions.

The presenters of the meeting this time are:

    Rannveig Anna Guicharnaud - team leader in Deloitte's sustainability team Jón Ragnar Guðmundsson - sustainability expert at LandsbankinurTryggvi Stefánsson - technical director/CTO at Svarma Snorri Sigurðsson - director of nature conservation at the Icelandic Natural History Institute
